Just a simple thank you is already enough right?
Naaaahhhh girl, you deserve much more than that!
I recently read an article that stated:
“For major accomplishments, employees had higher expectations for recognition”
- Â New growth opportunity (like a promotion): 47%
- Salary increase: 23%
- High-performance rating: 21%
- Bonus: 10%
Interestingly, a new growth opportunity was by far the most popular and preferred form of recognition for a major accomplishment .”
Yep, there it is. Growth is super important! And to keep growing you need to YES when opportunities come along.
Amanda Gorman said YES. She stood there in front of the world, 22 years old and when they asked her to speak she said yes.
But why are women always saying “not yet”?
By not saying yes, youâre really saying:
âIâm unqualified,
Iâm unsure of myself,
Iâm not confident in my abilities,
and Iâm not the person for this job now (or probably ever).â
So say âYES!â
Especially if you want to get ahead in your career. We need more women in the workplace to say this word.
âYes, I will apply for the job for which I am 95% qualified.â
âYes, I believe I can do the job.â
âYes! Yes! Yes!â
And there you have it. Now are you ready to say YES more often? Girl, I got you! Take the FREE personal branding test to discover if you are heard and seen in the workplace!
Just say YES girl!
If they don’t give you a seat at the table bring a folding chair!
Shirley Chisholm, who said these words, was the first African-American woman elected to congress in 1968 and she sought the Democratic nomination for president. And now Kamala Harris is fulfilling part of her dream. History was made yesterday and WOW am I glad it finally did. It’s soooooo important for women to see what they can be. The lack of women role models plays an important role in why so few women make it to the top.
In the workplace, the âtableâ is as a metaphor for the meeting place, the conference room  or the after-hours networking hangout where decisions and careers are made. Women are not always invited to those spaces. Their voices arenât always heard. There are still too many workplaces where women arenât in the boardroom, the C-suite or anywhere else their voices can make the difference they were hired to make.
This is why we teach women to become more visible in the workplace and how to amplify their voices.
We will be showing more role models for you to learn from during Women’s Visibility Week which will be from 1-5th of March. I can’t wait to share the lessons of these incredible women  and I will be asking them to give you practical advice and insight into their real life experiences.
But here’s the truth!
If you want to get started now because you know that you’re like this “best kept secret” at work and your visibility needs work. And you know that if you donât promote your work, because you are too shy/modest/scared, people will only remember the things about your work that went wrong (because we all make mistakes and they always get out). So itâs your job to let your colleagues see the things you excel at and how youâre adding value to the company.

I developed this course so we can have more women like yourself make a positive impact change, empower others, deliver results, and bring new innovative ideas. The question is do you want to stay where you are or do you want to contribute to change and be in a role that gives you energy rather than have it suck it out of you?
Businesses need more than just one type of leader. Right now they need the feminine one.
And you are just the person for that.
I love the beginning of a new year because it represents a fresh start. Weâve all been thinking about our lessons learned from 2020 and how we plan on moving forward. This is when weâre asking ourselves what new skills we want to learn and what we want to achieve.
My mission is the same as last year: supporting the visibility of career women. Because letâs be honest the world could use more feminine energy. Especially when it comes to leadership in business.
I know the reasons why most women stay invisible:
â I am too busy at work I donât have time to be visible”
â I am uncomfortable when I stand out from the crowdâ
” I am afraid they will say: who does she think she is? ”
â Introducing myself to people is scary as hellâ
Why do you need to be visible?
If you do not promote your work, the only thing people will ever know about you, outside your own small group, are the things that get known because they are problems. What matters is how good people think your work is.
So don’t be afraid to make yourself visible! Because we’re here to help you accelerate your career so you can achieve goals. That’s what sisters are for!
Last August we started The Visibility Project and this year weâve been working on our very first Womenâs Visibility Week. Because we still need to empower more women with the right capabilities to thrive in their careers with confidence and authentically.
Women’s Visibility Week will be from 1-5th of March and includes a series of online workshops and inspirational talks to recognize and spotlight women in various business fields.
Here’s the idea:
For 5 days, leading up to March 8th (International Women’s Day), we will be holding morning panels and inspirational sessions (08.00-09.00) with a diverse group of women and our most significant male allies, and in the evening host an array of interactive visibility workshops (19.00-20.00).
Here’s the timeline:
Monday, March 1st, Women in Finance
Tuesday, March 2nd, Women in Tech
Wednesday, March 3rd, Women in Hospitality
Thursday, March 4th, Women in Media
Friday, March 5th, Women in Leadership
I want you to get great development opportunities and hear stories of leading women (role models) from their fields of business.
Because here’s the deal:
I want you to be visible with those decision makers who’ll give you your next promotion.
You can be part of a movement that ensures that History will also include Herstory. Yeah, I like the sound of that. My xmas gift this year was the book Invisible Women because we aren’t even aware of what societal things are keeping us from being more visible. That’s something I want to fix.
So, join us from 1-5th of March and spread the word so that more women can become visible and accelerate their careers!
