The first 3 lines of Sarah Mclachlan’s song Angel. So true right? We always tend to wait, wait for things to happen. When people die, they always regret the things they haven’t done. It’s that thing we fear and so we wait for a better time or place or perfect situation that is never going to happen.

Finding your value
“There’s always some reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard, at the end of the day”

We are all humans and share the same human emotions. When I coach women one on one, the thing I often hear is “my story is not interesting enough to share”. “I am not special enough”. “I am not good enough”. So what is the first step to building a strong personal brand? Recognizing the value you have.

You are what you think
“I need some distraction
Oh, beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins”

The mind is a beautiful thing. Neuroscientists argue about how much of our brain is consciously used, they say less than 10%. Thoughts become behavior. The way you think about yourself is shown in the way you present yourself. Mindfulness is not only a good way to release some of the thoughts you have but also a way to feel less anxious and more at ease with yourself.

Redefining your success 
“And maybe empty
Oh, and weightless, and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight”

What is success? We all know it is not having more money. I heard someone say “success is achieving your goals”. But to me it is achieving your goals and being truly happy with them. That is peace of mind, body and soul.
