I want it all, I want it all,
I want it all, and I want it now

I want it all

Hi,

So I had to reference a Queen song because I went to see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody and absolutely loved it! What a life Freddy Mercury led. Am not going to discuss him yet (might do that next week) but I want to talk to you about what you want from your career.

The song is about having ambition and a drive to get things done. Brian May wrote the song, which was inspired by his wife, Anita Dobson, who used to say, “I want it all and I want it now.” Dobson is an English television actress.

I wish more women would really go for what they want. More often than not women say this to me: I am not sure what I want, or I don’t really know what I want.

This is really bad because if you can’t even envision what you really want you won’t work for it. We need to take the time and figure out our needs and wants and really go back to what it was that we wanted to achieve. You know, before we got on the career ladder and started to go for other peoples needs and wants.

To me this is step one. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What do you really want? And do you have the confidence and boldness to fearlessly go for it?

You need this confidence because if you lack confidence it will make you aim for less than you want because you don’t think it’s possible to achieve your goals.

So, think about it. What do you really want to achieve in the next 5 years?

XOXO,

Nancy
