I’m sexy and I know it

I love this song from LMFAO, can you believe it was released in 2011? How time flies. To me the song represents self-love and self-confidence. It’s not about bragging but more about owning the things you are proud of and not being afraid to show them. It’s about knowing your value. What do you bring to the table?

And showing this self confidence, actually making it visible, is my 3rd and final tip when it comes to being authentic and having an authentic personal brand.

So how do you become more self confident?
1. Positive thoughts. I can hear you sigh because it is corny and yes you have heard it before. But if you are not positive about yourself how can the rest of the world be?
2. You have to believe in yourself and you have to trust yourself. This lack of trust and believe can drive a girl crazy. The more I don’t trust myself the more I follow other peoples ideas of what is good for me.
3. Personal development, yes keep on working on yourself. Discover who you really are and what you like or dislike. Knowing you are a work of progress makes you more relaxed and open to self improvement. Also it empowers you because you get the right tools to deal with different situations.
4. Practice makes perfect. I love the TEDx Talk by Amy Cuddy about powerposes because in it she says: Don’t fake it till you make it, fake it till you become it. Gotta love that!

“When I walk in the spot, yeah, this is what I see
Everybody stops and they staring at me
I got passion in my pants and I ain’t afraid to show it
Show it, show it, show it

I’m sexy and I know it”

Sing it with me!
