Imagine

So Wednesday morning at 10.00 I was leaving my house to give 1 of 4 workshops I had to give that day at the ROC school of Amsterdam. I had been invited to be part of their entrepreneurship week and speak about Personal Branding. But I was a real mess. I was very upset about the US elections, had not slept at all and did not know how I was going to make it through the day.

But I got lucky. I had asked one of the students to explain to me why he wanted to become a musician.
He said, “Because I like it.”
I said, “But why do you like it?”

The answer that followed made my day.

“My grandmother does not speak any Dutch and the language we communicate in is music. I want to become a musician, because music connects people and I feel that we need more of that.”

Needless to say I agree with him. So let me leave you with this.

This picture here is not the student I was talking about, but just a student that wanted to take a picture with me because he thought I was cool. It worked wonders on my ego ;-)!
