Secret

When Karlijn and Evelyne from Holistik asked me to write blogs for their fabulous new platform holistik.nl, I was so honored. Now soon I have some more great news, because an internationally known magazine has asked me to write a blog for them online! Believe me that took me by surprise.

However, if I am honest.
Secretly, I wanted this.
Secretly, I knew I could ROCK this.
Secretly, I was scared of not being good enough
Secretly, I still crave approval from… you, every week when I write this newsletter.

But really I understand. If I enjoy it, if I like it. I wil get better at this. And if there is only one person out there I am adding value to. My job is done.

I write fast. Most blogs are written in 10 minutes or less. I believe in just doing it. And sometimes magic happens. Like with the blog I wrote on monday for Holistik about my lessons learned from Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Another woman that has given me many, many lessons is Madonna. When I was 11, Madonna mania hit the world stage. We wore clothes like her, we had the same sunglasses and loved to dance and sing like her. Then after a while she released her album True Blue. I was stunned! How dare she cut off her beautiful hair, why was she know so muscly (is that a word), what the hell was she doing.. I thought.

By now we all know Madonna. She has changed her looks, songs, performance etc many times. And through all of that she remained true to her believes.

Maybe that is the real secret.
