JUMP ON THE MENTORING PROGRAM THAT WILL ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER
JUMP ON THE MENTORING PROGRAM THAT WILL ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER
WHAT IS IT:
Women’s Visibility Week is a 3-day breakfast event for women in business to connect with aspiring and relatable women mentors. Every day is hosted by a different company in a different field (marketing, tech, general business and leadership), you can join for one mornings. And this year we’ve added 2 live lunch time online podcast sessions where we’re digging deeper into the subject of Women in Leadership and on how Mentoring Matters.
This cross-company mentorship program was created from the belief that “you can’t be what you can’t see”. It’s a way to develop women leaders in a group environment, enable the exchange of lessons learned from experience, garner first-hand advice from today’s women leaders and discuss topics that will accelerate women’s full potential.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
Climbing the career ladder is harder for women. Connecting with real life women role models is important because, having a role model can help us define our career. They make women more ambitious and aim higher. Furthermore, role models set an example for mindsets and behaviors to rise in our careers. Mentoring programs facilitate the development of the leadership skills that allow women to step towards top positions. Here are 4 ways mentoring can benefit women:
- It helps to articulate your career ambitions
- It lets you stay on track of the goals you want to achieve
- We’re creating this in a group environment so you can build a fab network
- Meeting other ambitious like-minded women will help you gain confidence
It’s all about sisterhood having the right circle of women around you makes you feel more confident.
Women who are mentored by other women feel more supported and are often more satisfied with their careers.

Connecting women in the workplace with mentors to help them grow in their careers.
WHAT CAN MENTEES EXPECT?
- You will be added to an online environment where you can meet other mentees and where you’ll be connected with your mentor based on commonalities.
- The mentor will meet you at least twice in 2023, once at the breakfast and once more at a determined time by you both. Of course, if you hit it off you might be able to meet and connect more.
- The breakfast will include women from your industry, and you will have multiple networking moments at the event.
- Every breakfast starts with a 15 min personal branding talk by Nancy Poleon (founder of BrandedU) followed by a guest speakers/rolemodels of the company hosting the breakfast.
WHAT CAN MENTORS EXPECT?
- Meet your peers at the breakfast and in the online environment
- Learn new things and expand your own perspective from your mentee
- Improve your management and leadership skills. In a world where there are more CEO’s named Peter and John than female CEOs altogether, we need to come together and change the equation!
If you’re ready to pay it forward and also want to learn and grow, then all you have to do is register as a mentor.

The pro’s of women-only cross company mentoring programs
- A women-only mentoring program can provide role models for early career women.
- Some organizations may not have enough women in leadership positions to support an effective mentoring program.
- Employees who have a mentor are 5 times more likely to be promoted than those without (source). Still 63% of women have NEVER had a formal mentor.
- 25% of employees who enrolled in a mentoring program had a salary-grade change.
