You can’t always get what you want
Hey,
Sooooo did you vote? It was the first time since many years I was actually nervous about a Dutch election. The results were not completely satisfying to me, because I am leftie. They made me think of the Rolling Stones singing you can’t always get what you want. When I looked at the story behind that song I noticed it was actually quite political but still personalā¦
It goes:
To get my fair share of abuse

What I like about this part of the lyrics is the fact that you have to go through a process to discover new things. Things you might actually need. I remember this speech from Oprah where she said : “There is no such thing asĀ failure.Ā Failure is justĀ life trying to move us in another direction.ā
So instead of looking at not getting what you want as failure. Just give it another try. In a different direction. Like The Stones sang āBut if you try sometimes well you just might findā¦.You get what you needā.
The first step in personal branding is knowing what you want to achieve. Then you need to never give up on your dreams to getĀ there.
My dream this year was to go to Spain (one of my favorite countries) and work on myself in a group of other ambitious women. And Renew Yourself Week was created!Ā And I am happy to announce the flights have been booked! There are only a few tickets left for those of you who still want to join us.
